Nele Wynants is an art historian specialized in the interactions between performance, media and science history, affiliated to the Université libre de Bruxelles. She is a member of the Young Academy of Belgium (Flanders) and the Project Management Board of B-magic, a large-scale research project on the magic lantern in Belgium (www.B-magic.eu). She is editor-in-chief of FORUM+ for research and arts (www.forum-online.be) and published in many journals and edited volumes. She also (co-)published De binnenkant van het beeld. Immersie en theatraliteit in de kunsten (2017), Media Archaeology and Intermedial Performance – Deep Time of the Theatre (2018), When Fact is Fiction: Documentary Art in a Post-Truth Era (2019) and Overlap: The No Man’s Land between Art & Science (2020).
