Florence Cheval

Florence Cheval is a Brussels-based art critic, curator, researcher.
Since 2017, she has been collaborating with research and production platform Jubilee (founded by Vincent Meessen, a.o.) on Caveat, a research project on the ecology of artistic practice, that develops through a number of curatorial proposals in a number of institutions (Beursschouwburg, M HKA Antwerp, Eté78...) with Agence, Eva Barto, Sofia Caesar, Loraine Furter, Joséphine Kaeppelin, Ben Kinmont, franck leibovici, Stijn Van Dorpe, Vermeir & Heiremans...
She currently develops Intersections of Care in collaboration with transdisciplinary art worker Loraine Furter, a research project on feminist modes of display and curating supported by FrArt/FNRS and Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles.
Amongst her previous exhibitions projects: Messidor: Some Arguments Later (Sirah Foighel Brutmann & Eitan Efrat, Pieter Geenen, Meggy Rustamova) in 2017; Béatrice Balcou I Kazuko Miyamoto in 2016; Hostipitalité (Patrick Bernier & Olive Martin, Elise Florenty & Marcel Turkowsky, Effi & Amir, Eléonore Saintagnan & Grégoire Motte) in 2015.
She is board member of Messidor and of AICA Belgium.
